Antivirus and Firewall Software All-in-one SolutionYou should have noticed it with antivirus and firewall software as it is with almost every product and service - each application is marketed separately. This is how the sales ditch is dug... One price for the antivirus protection from one software maker, then you pay more for the firewall from another, the popup blocker from someone else, and so on. Why can't they integrate the solutions and let you pay one price - and save? Well, a few software makers that make "essential utilities" seem so be getting it right. Firewall software is Important!In today's Internet, it is as easy for you to get "mugged" electronically in your own house as anywhere else physically. Antivirus and firewall software programs are two items that must be loaded and be up to date on every personal computer connected to the Internet. Just remember this: If broadband... It's almost certain that if you are active on the web someone would be wearing your identity before too long. So... Do what I have done... Only do it better. Get the double antivirus and firewall software protection. Never mind that Windows XP has a built-in firewall. It only protects incoming traffic. That's good, but not enough. I recommend the economical "double wall" protection method. One product, double protection! This is how it goes... Presently, I use ZoneAlarm firewall and Norton Antivirus - two separate programs. I had these before I knew of ZoneAlarm with Antivirus - the all in one solution. It's like outsourcing your security to two different firms. (They could get suspicious of each other). To me, it's a
great idea... a brilliant idea, really to use the ZoneAlarm antivirus and
