Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser is the most popular browser used by

Internet Explorer Update - Keeping Your Browser Healthy
Are you one of those who forget to check your Internet Explorer update
page? To manually check for updates to Windows
(and Internet Explorer browser), either...
click Start -- Windows Update,
or
Start your browser (Internet Explorer) as you
normally do to surf the Web. Then click Tools -- Windows
Update.
This takes you to the Microsoft Windows update site.
Alternatively, you can set your browser to check for updates
automatically whenever you go on the Web. Set auto
update by launching your Internet Explorer browser. Click Tools --
Internet Options to load the IE Options dialog.

Select the Advanced tab, then look for the Browsing section in the
Settings List. Put a check mark on Automatically check for Internet
Explorer updates. Browser and Email Checkup Options
In addition to updating your browser and email software, you should
backup your email, manage your
temporary internet file storage,
and practice safe browsing habits.
With your Internet Explorer browser or other Web browser software secure,
kids can safely browse the web and receive emails. For
even stricter browsing and email security, use specialized
email software for kids, firewall and
anti-virus protection.
