Your Digital Camera - The
Most Fun-filled Computer PeripheralThe digital
camera age is here. And with the prices sliding steadily and the makers
such as Kodak and Sony squaring off in court, everyone will soon have at
least 3 Mega pixels to shoot.
I sport a Canon
Powershot A80 4 Megapixel camera. It has a 1½" LCD screen that is on a
swivel. It can be positioned like a flap or folded on the back of the
camera itself.
With this little marvel, I snap candid shots around corners, above the
head of the crowd, and while in very tight spaces. All
digital camera reviews on this and other Canon Powershots have been, in
general, wonderful. The good thing is that it takes
great pictures. And with a 256 MB flash card, I can take hundreds of them.
Now, if you are going to get a digital camera, you need to make sure your
computer has a USB connection. All computers made in recent years have
USB1.1 or USB2.0 ports. If you don't, you can add USB
ports via PCI cards. Digital Camera Software
The software that comes with your digital camera allows you to create
digital albums that you can host online, or distribute to friends and
family. Not all cameras come with the same software.
However, you can find software depending on your needs.
If you ever thought of doing
information publishing, now is the time. There is nothing stopping you
with a digital camera and a good-running computer.
