You can visit a laptop computer sale and find good deals on big
name brands
A laptop computer sale? Where?
A Dell laptop computer doesn't have to come directly from Dell
computer Corporation. A Gateway computer and a Compaq Computer can be
shipped to you from another store with better package deals.

Many of these big computer makers would have you think that you can
only get their product from them. They try to keep prices up to
maximize their profit margins. But...
If you can live with a super
refurbished system from a laptop computer sale store, you have the
same brands with the same reliability you get when you buy a brand new
system.
Dell Inspiron Notebooks can be purchased for under $700 after
rebate and some
Gateway notebooks run similar prices.
In a laptop computer sale - as we know it at your popular stores -
it may be difficult to
find a really cheap, brand new P4 or AMD with processor speed above
2.0GHz right now, but if you are looking for a second portable,
or one for the kids' room then there are some great deals on
Dell Pentium III laptop computers you can find. Remember that a laptop is a tradeoff between power and convenience.
If you don't need the portability, you can get much more power and
expandability at lower cost with a desktop - no matter what kind of
laptop computer blowout it is.
Even bigger deals can be had if you get a
barebones system. You put a hard drive and some memory in that and
you are ready to go.
There are so many options in a computer system that when you see a
laptop computer sale you have to compare the features in the system to
those that you definitely need.
For example, if you have a wireless network and want a laptop
compute to work with your Wi-Fi, make sure you get an access point if
the 'new' laptop doesn't have a built-in wireless access point.
You can get a wireless access point as a PCMCIA card or as a USB of
Ethernet connected device.
Check out the screen type and size. High-resolution TFT color LCD
is OK for most eyes. A screen that looks big in a picture can be small
when it sits on your lap.
Go for at least a 14.1" XGA display. And remember that the screen
measurement is diagonal. That's how screens are measured.
While I really prefer a desktop, I use one of those
Dell Latitude Notebooks because I travel so much. It is really
cool. I made one change when I ordered it - I selected Windows 2000
operating system instead of the Windows XP.
So far, so good - this work horse is always ready to go whenever I
call. Maybe, it's because keep my my system in tip top shape.
